At B & T Rabbitry, we specialize in raising quality Mini Rex, Holland Lop, and Tan rabbits in multiple varieties. (Brittney works with the Mini Rex and Holland Lops and Taylor works with the Mini Rex and Tans.)
Like many other breeders, we began raising rabbits several years ago as a result of involvement in 4-H. We began with just one pair of Mini Rex. Since then, the quality of our Mini Rex has increased dramatically and so has the size of our Rabbitry. We now have a building for the rabbits and have over 50 holes and are planning to add more holes in the future.
We have also added a couple of new breeds to the Rabbitry (Holland Lops, and more recently, Tans) and feel that we have a very good start in both of these wonderful breeds.
We work very hard to produce high quality animals and cull our herd hard in order to keep and also improve the quality in our lines. Each one of our breedings is carefully thought out and we only add animals to our herd that we feel will improve the overall quality of our rabbits.
We both really enjoy attending and showing at local shows in both Michigan and Indiana. Brittney recently started showing her Mini Rex and Holland Lops in the Open division. She was very proud when she won Best of Breed and Best Opposite of Breed at only her second time showing in Open with the Mini Rex! Taylor shows his Mini Rex in the Youth divison and his Tans in the Open division.
We offer show rabbits and breeding stock in multiple varieties in all our breeds. We also occasionally have pet rabbits available in all our breeds.
We are both current members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and are also members of the National Mini Rex Rabbit Club, the Holland Lop Rabbit Speciality Club, and soon the American Tan Rabbit Speciality Club.
B & T Rabbitry is located in Goshen, Indiana (about 3 1/2 hours north of Indianapolis).
Our Rabbitry is registered with the ARBA (Rabbitry # AO95).
Our current Mini Rex breeding program includes the following varieties: Black, Broken (in multiple varieties), Castor, Chocolate, Himalayan (black), Red, Ruby-Eyed White, and Tortoise. We are hoping to add Blue Himalayan, Soild and Broken Opal, Soild and Broken Otter (in all 4 varieties), Broken Blue, and Broken Castor in the near future.
Our current Holland Lop breeding program includes Solid and Broken Tortoise.
Our current Tan breeding program includes Blue and Lilac. Taylor is hoping to get started in Black and Chocolatein the near future.
